About Us

Taylor and Mariel

We met each other in the neighborhood and became fast friends. Taylor works in healthcare as a physician's assistant and Mariel is a stay at home mom to two young children.  We quickly learned that we have a lot in common including our love of adventure, bringing people together and of course what started Vintage Sun, candles! 

We created Vintage Sun as a way to bring our favorite outdoor fragrances into our homes. Both avid hikers and outdoorsy people, we love the scents of nature and all of the beauty it has to offer.  Inspired by the Mountains to Sea trail we wanted to make something unique to North Carolina.  With inspiration from our outdoor adventures around the Carolinas we found ourselves creating candles with all of our favorite spots in mind.  If we aren’t hiking and camping in the mountains you can usually find us exploring the beaches with our crew.

Keeping the environment in mind we use only natural soy wax, cotton wicks and clean certified fragrances to bring the cleanest product to you.  We are proud to be local to Charlotte, NC and are a woman owned and operated business.  Thank you for taking time to learn more about our products, we hope you enjoy our candles.
